Our History. eRx Network, an Emdeon company, has quickly grown to become an established leader in the pharmacy transaction processing industry. Mark Lyle, CEO of eRx Network, started the business in 2001 with the intent of creating a new transaction services company focused on providing the best value, service and products to retail pharmacy.

In March of 2005, eRx Network merged with Allwin Data, a leading provider of specialty pharmacy claims processing. The merger joined two complementary organizations and provided strong opportunities for collaborative offerings to customers. Strengths in technical infrastructure, personnel, service operations and senior management expertise were leveraged for the benefit of all customers. eRx Network now also provides pharmacists, long-term care facilities, pharmacy practice management vendors, and other healthcare professionals with billing services and data center solutions designed to meet the rapidly changing demands of the healthcare industry.

On July 1, 2009, Emdeon, a leading provider of revenue and payment cycle management solutions, acquired eRx Network, LLC, a leading provider of third-party claims management and analysis services, Medicare and Medicaid DME billing services, reconciliation and recovery services, and electronic prescribing services to the retail pharmacy industry. This move combined eRx Network’s expansive technology and services with Emdeon’s existing suite of pharmacy solutions, and enhanced the overall Pharmacy Services organization. The new combined organization, known as “eRx Network, an Emdeon company”, continues to provide our pharmacy customers with the exceptional service, innovative technology, industry expertise, and superior products they’ve come to expect and rely on daily.

Our Future. eRx Network, an Emdeon company, maintains a focus on forming partnerships with our customers and providing them with the electronic tools they require to improve their efficiency, accuracy and profitability. The company now counts among its customers major national and regional pharmacy chains, co-op groups, nationwide franchise groups, software vendors and a sizeable base of independent pharmacies.

The eRx Network platform provides our customers with a next-generation network capable of handling billions of transactions annually with unprecedented levels of reliability.
