eRx E1 / eRx SuperE1, pharmacy benefit eligibility

eRx E1 Eligibility Solutions are exclusive real-time eligibility services. eRx E1 provides retail pharmacy with the ability to determine patient eligibility for over 200 million commercially covered lives. eRx SuperE1 allows the customer to check pharmacy benefit eligibility for both Medicare and Commercial coverage with a single transaction.

• eRx E1 Eligibility Solutions enable pharmacies to automate the task of determining patient eligibility and coverage, providing time savings and an enhanced level of service to patients.
• eRx, in partnership with RxHub, checks member eligibility with the nation's largest PBM's, including Aetna, Argus, Caremark, Express Scripts, Medco, Pharmacare, Prime Therapeutics, Wellpoint. eRx SuperE1 also checks for Medicare eligibility.
• Pharmacy Management Software Systems that are eRx E1 certified give pharmacies the ability to submit the eligibility request via their pharmacy system.
• If the pharmacy’s Pharmacy Management Software System is not yet certified for eRx E1 Eligibility Solutions, our web utility provides an intuitive process for the user to submit the eligibility request via the eRx Network website and receive a response with the coverage information.
• eRx E1 Eligibility Solutions use the same transaction type and format as the TrOOP Medicare Eligibility transaction. Pharmacies send the patient's name, date of birth, gender, zip code, SSN to our eligibility service.
• BIN, Cardholder ID, Group Number, Person Code, and Processor Helpdesk phone number are returned to the pharmacy.

eRx E1 Eligibility Solutions return all cardholder information for all coverages found (i.e. primary, secondary and tertiary).
